My site would not be complete without more than a mention of the people who started Australia's Military Medical services at Vung Tau. The dedicated personnel of 2 Field Ambulance. They not only were responsible for doing all the ground work that led on to a full Field Hospital being posted to the site, but also started that very great tradition that carried on at the same location right to the closure of the Hospital.
