Hi I'm Cathy,sometimes known as Mischief,I'd like to welcome you to my page.
As you can see I love flowers,but roses are my favourites,you'll also see Hibiscus on this page,cause they are more or less a national flower of Fiji,where I come from.
Well a little about me,I was born in a little village just east of Nadi Fiji and slightly inland from the coast,it is a farming village mainly sugar cane, which is harvested and sent by a little railway to the mill at Lautoka,where it is refined there and then exported to many countries,it is the main export of Fiji.
Fiji is not one island but a conglomeration of around 300 islands,Viti Levu is the biggest island and is divided into two divisions west and east,the western division is where all the sugar cane grows,as it get the right amount of rain and sunshine,another growing industry is Fiji pine which is plantation trees.
On the eastern side there is not much farming as in the west Suva the capital is in the eastern division, it is the biggest city in all of Fiji but is a very wet place rainwise.
The main Tourist places are along the coastal fringe,there are a few in Nadi the Regent of Fiji being about the best and also most expensive between Nadi and Sigatoka there are some more resorts and then down the coral coast to Suva along Queens rd the coast road is quit well served by resorts.Anyway I digress,I am the oldest of five ,having three sisters and one brother,all the sisters now live in Australia but my brother still lives in Fiji, I came to Australia in June 1979 and met Rob (my hubby) and we got married in August 1979 we have two children ,Andrew and Fiona, (see their page)
